Are You Listening?
There is a lot of external noise in today’s world. We are constantly being bombarded by images, sounds, and sensations. It makes it increasingly difficult to figure out what is really important and worth paying attention to.
Have you ever slowed down to listen to the internal messages you are receiving? That’s right, the internal messages. Your body has a lot to say too.
Our bodies talk to us in a lot of different ways: pain, gut sensations, and even changes in mood. We have hunger and fullness cues that tell us it’s time to start or stop eating. We have cravings that tell us what our body needs for fuel. But just like the external noise we experience, we often ignore the messages from our body or don’t trust what it is telling us.

Learning to really listen to what your body is saying is a skill. You need to continually be aware of what your body is saying and not second guess the message. The more effort you put into listening, the better the results will be.
